Inspired by the idea that limitations lead to creative outcomes, Legacy Workshop is a one day event for the PSU Graphic Design community to experiment, learn, and create using classic technology. This event is made to recapture the feelings of freedom and creativity that early digital design offered by combining technical limitations with modern day skills.
Social and print promotions announced the event, explained what it was, and advertised the designers who would be speaking there.
Participants would receive a branded software box which contained a copy of Bitmapped, a handbook for all things early digital design.
Also given out was the dieline for a Legacy Mac papercraft, which participants could make and display after the event.
